In these current times, it is crucial to start and continue developing our connection with the Quran – Allah’s guidance to mankind. Let’s utilize the remaining of our time in this Dunya to gather for Allah’s sake in order to memorize, learn, and reflect over His Book. 

The appearance of the Dajjaal is one of the signs of the Hour, but the time of his emergence is not clearly defined, because no one knows when the Hour will be except Allah. With that being said, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم still advised us to take preventative measures. Among the Prophetic protections taught to us was to memorize, understand, and live 10 verses of Surah al-Kahf.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, 

‏من حفظ عشر آيات من أول سورة الكهف، عصم من الدجال‏”‏ وفي رواية‏:‏ ‏”‏من آخر سورة الكهف‏

“If anyone memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the trial of Dajjāl (Antichrist).” (Muslim) In another narration, “(Whoever commits to memory) the last ten Ayat of Surat Al-Kahf, he will be protected from (the trial of) Ad-Dajjal (Antichrist).”

May Allah protect us all against Dajjāl, Shaytān & his armies, aameen.

As we mentioned in our previous course, the correct view of this hadith is the first 10 verses. However, we recognize that many people have already memorized the last 10 as well. So then, let’s use this opportunity to fully understand its wonderful impactful meanings.
