Welcome to Arabic 101: Kitab Asaasi!
In this beginner course, all that is required from the student is the ability to read the Arabic alphabets – no previous knowledge of Arabic as a language is required.
This course is excellent for COMPLETE BEGINNERS or those who have studied Arabic in the past and need review. Kitab Asaasi is a book series taught in the 2-year Arabic language institute in Umm al-Quraa University located in Makkah al-Mukarramah.
This course will focus heavily on:
✅ Vocabulary (daily and Quranic)
✅ Basic Arabic grammar and Sarf rules
✅ Learning the correct pronunciation of letters
✅ Learning the points of articulation of letters (Makhaarij) and their descriptions (Sifaat)
✅ Improving your reading with vowels and eventually building towards reading without vowels
✅ Improving your writing skills
✅ Improving your listening skills
This course will provide you a decent and basic background that will enable you to follow along our 200 level courses (Arabic Analysis & Tafsir of Quranic chapters) in shaa Allah.
📝 Prerequisite: Ability to read Arabic
🕰 Course Duration: 8 classes, roughly 1 hour per video
🖥 These classes were originally taught live and are recorded. Students will view the recordings and complete the course at their own pace.
