*Introduction to the Life of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم*

In this course, students will study a famous 100-line poem about the life of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم written by the great scholar Ibn Abi al-‘Izz al-Hanafi known as الأرجوزة الميئية في ذكر حال أشرف البرية. This poem is essentially a summary of a Seerah work written by his teacher al-Haafidh ibn Katheer رحمهم الله entitled: الفصول في سيرة الرسول -صلى عليه وسلم.
This is an excellent poem for beginners. It is written in a manner that makes it easy to memorize and understand the major important events that occurred during the life of our Role Model and Messenger, Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
This poem was written in Arabic but it will be explained in English. No previous knowledge of Arabic is required. Students with a background in Arabic will surely benefit from the vast vocabulary contained within this poem.
In addition to this poem, we will also briefly study another book entitled الشمائل by Imaam at-Tirmidhi. This book contains narrations describing the physical characteristics and mannerism of our beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.
At the end of this course, students are expected to know all major events of the Prophet’s life as well as his descriptions صلى الله عليه وسلم.
📝 Prerequisites: must have a sincere intention and strive in learning
🔍 There will be exams to test students’ comprehension of the material.
🎓 Students will receive a certificate with the completion of this course & at least a 90% overall grade.
🗓 Classes resume 23rd of Dhul Hijjah (August 13, 2020) إن شاء الله.
🕰 Live sessions are every Thursday morning 8am, Makkah timing. 1 hour per class.
🖥 We use the ZOOM application to broadcast live.
🎥 Registered students are able to view the recordings and follow the course at their own pace.
🚺🚹 There are gender separated private telegram groups where students will be able to ask questions.
